This Old Chair

This chair is very old ... at this point, it is rickety and needs some repair.
This was my chair when I was a baby (told you it was an OLD chair!!).
My Opa and Oma actually MAILED this chair from Germany to America - I'm thinking for my little brother to use ... but ultimately, it is MY chair.
I can remember details about it so clearly!  I had put flower stickers on it that were off a bottle of German dishwashing soap called Pril (it was a promotional campaign to advertise "the happy kitchen") that my Oma always used.

from the Pril website:
1972

Pril-Blumen

Isn't it funny the memories one small piece of furniture can evoke!  I love that all 3 of my children have now sat in this little chair ... maybe my grandkids will sit in it too!!?

Conny, I too have a childs rocking chair that my grandfather gave me. All my children have used it and now the children I sit for use it too! My chair didn't come from Germany but it has the same sentimental value as yours.
