FOR TODAY
Outside my window...rain, gray, wet, cold, bleck.
I am thinking...that my family is SO ready for Spring Break next week. My husband is carrying some heavy burdens this week at school - just situations that have to be dealt with - necessary but unpleasant. :( Also Anna's teacher had to be unexpectedly gone all week as her 30 year old niece was killed in a car wreck (she leaves behind a 9 year old daughter) - very sad situation. :( I just feel burdened and heavy hearted ... guess I need to follow Martin Luther's advice, "Pray and let God worry." :)
I am thankful for...SPRING BREAK is in sight!! Some down time with the family next week. We are having a "stay-cation" but have a few fun things planned.
From the kitchen...I love old stand-by recipes!! This past weekend I made my Aunt Louise's chicken divan - and one of my favorite soups, Mexican stew. Leftovers were terrific too!
I am wearing...old comfy clothes
I am creating...things at my NEW sewing machine!!
I am going...to bed as soon as possible. :)
I am reading...for review:
I am hoping...Miriam gets better soon. She's had a cold - and now it is just a mucousy, deep cough and runny nose. She doesn't seem to feel too bad; it is just bothersome.
I am hearing...SILENCE. Miriam is asleep. Well, ok, I hear the rain - but I'm ignoring it (trying to!!).
Around the house...need to get busy & do a "once over" in the bathrooms and kitchen.
One of my favorite things...SLEEPING on a rainy day ... or a rainy night.
A few plans for the rest of the week: children's club at church Wednesday. Friday will be a treat as I'm watching a friend's 2 girls for the day; they can help me entertain Miriam while I actually get something productive done?!!? I might pick up Anna from school early so she can enjoy her friends (the girls are home-schoolers). Something to look forward to!
More daybooks can be read at Peggy's blog.
