This post has nothing to do with the above child with the big eyes!
I just put her in here because she looked so cute in her blue, smocked dress today.
It has been a stressful, burdensome few weeks. I've had a lot on my mind and in my prayers. For the most part, the hard situations have been faced and are being resolved. On top of that, it has just been an excessively busy time at work for my husband - and at home for me, worrying about my husband and trying to think of ways to be helpful somehow.
We are weary. Tired. Worn thin. Exhausted. Empty. (or at least I am!)
SPRING BREAK came along just at the right time!
Starting Monday, our family is taking somewhat of a 2 day sabbatical, just a little mini-vacation. We are going to focus on being together, having some fun, and relaxing! Renewing, refreshing, readying to get back to the work!
And that thought makes me very, very happy!

Conny, I have been thinking and praying for you. I hope that all of this will be resolved soon and that God will give you peace of heart. I think this winter has been troublesome for many. With the economy tanking and everyone facing increase in living expenses with less income I can't imagine what the impact is on Christian Schools.
I appreciated your post on "casting your burdens on the Lord". It is true that those burdens belong in His capable hands, but it is very, very easy to take them back again. I'll pray that you are able to just leave them there.
I loved the pictures of little Miriam. That little cotton smocked dress is so adorable and especially on such an adorable little girl. She's getting so big! They grow up so fast. It's hard to believe that when I first met you on this blog she hadn't even been born yet.
Be assured that folks are praying for you all around.
God Bless.
Enjoy your time away ~
(cute girlie in a cute dress!)
