What exactly is a pimento??
Do you know? WITHOUT google-ing it first?! I'll admit, I had to google it. I was a little surprised to find out what pimentos truly are!
Why do I ask? Well, the recipe I made today (Pioneer Woman's Chicken Spaghetti) called for a jar of them, which (#1) I didn't have and (#2) I had no idea pimentos came in a jar. I always just thought they were those little red pieces in a green olive. Then again, there is pimento cheese - but I hate that stuff.
Ok, go google "pimento"!
PS The Chicken Spaghetti was DELICIOUS even without pimentos!!! A friend called me & said she made it today too - and her family (minus one) said DELICIOUS too. :)

I don't think I have ever put pimentos in a recipe that calls for them! And it always turns out fine, so either they really don't add much to the recipe or I don't know what I'm missing! :)
And your last post inspired me to make no-bake cookies last night and then eat half of them as soon as they were done!
Yes, I know what pimentos are! And had you been "raised right" in Tennessee, you'd have an appreciation for pimento cheese! I LOVE it! If you've had the creamy, processed kind, I can see why you think it's gross, though. I'm a pimento cheese snob and always make my own from pimentos and sharp cheddar cheese.
