However, I'm leaning towards offering the paci to Miriam since it helps satisfy her between feedings. Yet - how much do you "force" it if they don't want it??! Did your kids have pacifiers? What advice/experiences can you share about them - pro's vs. con's?

Day 19
This is actually Sunday's pictures ... taken last night - Miriam at 19 days old. She did wear a sweet dress to church, but I forgot to take a picture.
To pacifier or not pacifier? - that is my question today. After trying 3 varieties of paci's, I finally found one Miriam likes & will keep in her mouth. My other 2 children never did take a pacifier - and actually, that was a good thing as we never had to "break" them from the binky either...

Both my kids had pacifies and funny enough Jasmine just LOVED them, she would walk around with 2 in each hand LOL
Nicholas took it when he was tiny baby but then just spit it out on his own when he turned 1 and never looked back.
I say go with what you feel is best, don't let what others think or feel be the judge of it, it's what works for you and Miriam that matters :)
Miriam looks so cuddly warm - does she know how to send cyber-snuggles? =)
I probably called those delightful jammies 'blanket sleeper bags' Boring, eh? Love them though! The ones with draw-string/elastic bottoms are "Sweet Peas" at my house as my SIL called them (I'm thinking that came from a cartoon with a baby named Sweet Pea... back in the days of Popeye)
Pacifiers... I would try to hold one in my newborn's mouth to keep them from crying all night... not recommended ;-) (the rough days of waiting for milk supply)
All of our kids sucked a thumb or fingers = happy babies. Only one was was a real booger about giving it up. A pacifier would be easier - you can make it disappear.
My very free two cents for the day =)
One of my babies loved the paci, the other took one occasionally but could take or leave it. The way I knew one of them HAD to have a pacifier--he wanted to stay latched on to me 24/7!! The pacifier was the only thing that allowed me to shower daily! :)
