Today is an easy day for me to be THANKFUL because it's an easy day for me in general. It's my day off - and I really don't have too many obligations tying me down today.
I have a hair appointment a little later. I'm not very good at fixing my own hair or having a vision of the hair-do that suits me. Thankfully, my current hairdresser takes care of all that for me. :) I also love how my hair feels and smells when she is all done! It's one of my few indulgences that I splurge on these days.
I'm thankful for a quiet house ... for a few hours to work uninterrupted on things I need to get done: my Medical Transcription course, some personal paperwork, cleaning up, and trying to find room for a new baby and all the things we've been given so far. I started out this pregnancy saying "we have NOTHING for a baby" because we'd sold all our baby stuff years ago - and at this time, many people have given us their gently used baby items, brand new clothes, and I've found many things at Goodwill, outlet stores, and on sale - plus my dear friends are planning a baby shower for me this month. I am amazed and humbled and thankful.
