I got up to help the kids get ready for school but got back in bed when they all left with Dad (I feel too guilty to do it when they are still here because they can't crawl back in bed, & it doesn't seem fair). I tried to read - but I am sure I had a "long blink" that lasted about another hour. :)
Waking up rested is something I long for!! It doesn't happen for me often due to my night-owl tendencies and my insomnia. It felt great to get out of bed when I wanted to! I don't take it for granted.
After my shower and some picking up and starting laundry, I pulled out some old photographs to add to facebook. A little less then half my graduating class of 21 is on facebook. We should have had a 20 year class reunion in 2008 - but it just didn't happen (there is a school-wide alumni meeting almost each January there, I think, but I can't ever attend at that time). So anyway, I posted lots of pictures and laughed A LOT!! I've enjoyed reading the comments from my old classmates - and catching up with them.
The weather was gorgeous, and I had the windows open most of the day! The cats loved that.
For dinner, we had oven fried chicken (basically chicken breasts dredged in herbed flour with olive oil drizzled on them, baked for about an hour at 375/400 degrees). I even baked Nestle Toll House chocolate chip cookies for dessert!! YUM!!
This sudden spring weather is making me want to CLEAN!!! Unfortunately, I wasted today away by NOT cleaning....but I think if I had a plan, maybe I would finally get my house where I want it?! If I can continue to get my day or two off a week, I have no excuse to not clean.

Since I am no longer doing the "praying for my husband" feature, I'm thinking of creating my own SPRING CLEANING plan to blog about. Something like 30 Days of Spring Cleaning?
Anyone else out there ready to clean out their house and freshen up everything??!
I'm considering my approach - should it be room by room OR task by task (ie carpets, curtains/sheers, floors, appliances). I'm open to suggestions or ideas.
Hopefully this weekend, I can start working a plan - I'll share it then - if not for anyone else but to just keep myself accountable.
