New Rooms for Two

Anna's room came together today! We're overall satisfied with the results. The bed is a little creaky - and the original mattress was practically dry rotted (it had been in a plastic cover in our garage, but our garage has flooded several times), so we had to throw it out. Thankfully, the 2 mattress-pallets from the old bunk beds fit perfectly!

Anna's room still needs a night stand, curtains, and eventually a desk - but for now, I think we have a pretty happy girl! :)
(The following pictures are totally posed - but it was fun to have this photo session in Anna's new room) ~ here she is at her "art center", a table to do homework, etc.:

a "reading corner" since not only does Dan have hundreds of books, our kids do too. I consented to let Anna hang her own art work here - it is HER room afterall, I had to keep reminding myself:

Andrew's room is almost complete too - we're just waiting for the backordered quilt. This wall features original art by Andrew himself:

The primary colored comforter & bedding does NOT match the "jute" walls very well at all....but for now, it will have to do:Andrew has his own "reading corner" too............mainly because we have no where else to put this rocking chair!
